About Me

Who I am

My name is Andrea Dall'Ara, and I'm a second-year Computer Science major at the University of Cincinnati. I was born in Fairfield, Ohio, but I have spent a lot of my childhood moving country to country for my dad's work. I was raised mostly in Italy, continuing my education from 6th grade on in the United States. Throughout all these places I've lived, I noticed that computers were being used for non-tech related professions. I even got a decent (but also incredibly old) one myself at 7 years old. I am very excited to cultivate the opportunities that UC's programs will give me, and how I can use them to help others.

I believe I have good problem solving skills, and work pretty hard to achieve my goals. One of my goals is to make technology more accessible for everyone, focusing more on easy-to-use software due to my Computer Science interest. I plan to pursue a Masters degree in Computer Science and hope that it'll teach me more ways to make the world a better place. I'm in the process of learning Java right now, but I already know some of the more common languages. In my free time, if I'm not at my computer I play the bassoon. I am planning on joining one of the concert bands at UC.
