About Me
I'm Andrea Dall'Ara, a Computer Science student at the University of Cincinnati. I enjoy web development, embedded systems, and building software that makes everyday tasks simpler.
One of my goals is to make technology more accessible through clear, easy-to-use interfaces. This portfolio will document my work in User Interface I, from initial design ideas to interactive prototypes and reflections on what I've learned.

Project 1: Smart Plant Pot
User Interface I · Fall 2026
For this project, I designed and implemented a smart plant pot interface using Svelte. The prototype brings together manual and automatic watering, plant-specific sunlight guidance, and pest inspection logs in a clear, easy-to-use interface. It includes controls on the pot and a synchronized mock phone interface for checking plant conditions and managing care remotely.
I focused on making plant care understandable through clear status indicators, confirmation prompts, progress feedback, and helpful error messages. The demo includes simulated sensor readings and testing scenarios to explore how the interface responds to changing conditions.
More projects coming soon
I'll update this page with project write-ups, prototypes, and links to code as my coursework is ready to share.
